We have a vendor that provides a check printing service, however, because the software does not encrypt traffic, we are having to install their VPN device in our DMZ. I also think this is because the software needs to be able to print to a local printer. I know it is a horrible design though it is supposed to be short term while they refine a true secure SaaS solution. In the meantime, I wanted to get feedback/suggestions about if and how I can better secure the device/our network from the device? Thanks in advance.
