FRR VRF troubleshooting - ping within a VRF

Hi

I am new to FRR (Free Range Router). I am using an FRR instance with a few VRFs as external router in a VMware NSX-T lab with multiple tenants. No MPLS or MP-BGP, just plain VRFs, each with a BGP peer to a routing instance within NSX-T (i.e. VRF-lite). So far using vtysh as interface to FRR.

I could not find a way within FRR to ping remote hosts/routers using routing information from a given VRF. Something like " ping vrf green 10.2.1.1" . I would expect such a command to lookup the destination in the given VRF-specific routing table and use VRF-specific sub-interfaces to route the ICMP packets towards the destination.

Alternatively, looking for a "vrf context" command. Enter "vrf green" and thereafter all troubleshooting commands (ping, traceroute) happen in that "networking context" (to use the FRR manual expression).

Many thanks for any help.
