Console Connected Blues - Can't stop the autoconfig

I’ve got what I hope is an easy question for all of you,

The preamble is I’m a sys admin at a non-profit, and with the covid business going on, IT staff has been reduced by 1/2, onsite to 1/3 of former staffing levels, and I get to wear a network hat now. Which aside from my friends losing their jobs, I actually have enjoyed doing/learning.

So I’ve figured out which switches connect to where over the building, port audits, tracking down mac address, re wiring coms closets, and my next project will be to replace all 2950 cisco switches with 2960, which will make everything PoE (yayyy) but still old (boo)

But, I Have a problem adding WAPs to my environment, A specific model isn’t adding associating through my WLAN controller, I’ve got cisco support and I need to get the capwap event data, but this is where my issue begins.

For starters I can’t ssh into it, then it turns out that these waps are really picky about usb to serial console cables so I have to hook the wap up to a pc that has a serial port and then console into it directly. But, the problem is after it boots, it keeps trying to allocate itself to my network and set the radials and I can’t enter commands cause it just keeps going and going and going. I can’t figure out how to break the auto commands, ctrl + c doesn’t work, crtil+shift+6, and crtil+shift+6+x doesn’t work, it driving me mental, and I have a deadline on this guy,

Does anybody have any info that could help me out? Or, If I posted to the wrong sub, or, if you need more info, please let me know

Thanks guys! <3 Islandlucky
