Still kind of new in networking, but I like it and would want to continue learning.
I have two switches that are connected to each other and to hypervisors. Now my sysadmin colleague handles the hypervisors but I assume those hypervisors have virtual switches on them. The hypervisors are connected via trunk ports.
The two physical switches tend to have STP issues which could be because of the hypervisors. Sometimes those two switches just stop working.
What kind of bpdu settings should I put on the trunk interfaces toward the hypervisors to protect the switches?
Is there a way to do it that neither the switches nor hypervisor ports would ever go down?
