I'm just curious if anyone here has experience with different NetFlow and DPI solutions for ISPs. It seems to be a topic that Google is not very helpful on other than recommending Procera's $800k appliance. Do solutions like SolarWinds and Untangle work well (as long as the hardware can handle the bandwidth), or are they geared for completely different kinds of networks? If an ISP wants to figure out who and what is using the most traffic to know what to optimize, what tools would they use?
