I am looking at upgrade options for a core stack of 3750-12s (yeah they are old). It is supporting fiber SFPs to remote locations and copper SFPs to internal 2960s. Going through options, a set of 3850s in 12+4 (using all 12 on each of the 3750s atm) or 24 ports would be my first look, but then looking into the new 9000 range for something comparable and couldn't find anything outside of SFP28 ports. I am wanting to provide 10g availability on ports as needed, sfp+ modules for some of the remote 3850s, but will have to be able to support standard SFP lines. Do standard SFP and SFP+ transceivers work in a SFP28 slot that the 9500s come in, or is there a 9500 model that isn't listed on their site that uses just SFP+? Their transceiver compatibility page shows that GLC-SX-SMD and GLC-BX40-U-I modules are compatible, but more so looking for actual real world usage if anyone has them in production.
