This is a homework related question. I don't need help with the syntax, but more of a concept I'm not grasping. Before I ask, for your benefit here's word for word what the assignment is. My teacher is foreign so there's some spelling issues.
The topology diagram is attached: http://ift.tt/2AzebXE
Subnet 192.168.1.0/26 and use the first subnet for the sales(vlan 10), second subnet for marketing(vlan 20). third subnet for link between R1 and R2 WITH G0/0 interfaces. The fourth subnet for the link between R1 and R2 with G0/2.
Tasks:
All the pc should ping
All the pc's in the sales and the marketing dept should get DHCP Addresses.
Configure a RIP route for the g0/0 link between R1 and R2 (main route)
Configure a Static route for the g0/2 link between R1 and R2 (backup floating static route)
Configure port security on only fa0/1 port of switch1 and 2 with shutdown as violation .
Now that you see what the lab is, I can't figure out the proper way to use vlan 10, and 20 on both router 1 and router 2, and then making sure they all get DHCP address's mucks things up. I'm thinking the best way with DHCP is to use the ip helper address, but for the sub interface on router 2 do I assign it the next IP address in the subnet or because it's the same vlan do I give sub interfaces on both routers related to vlan 10 the same IP address?
