Newbie Question Supernetting, Full Scopes DHCP

I've recently taken over an IT position and am already seeing that they have a great amount of scopes that are full on DHCP. These have been setup w/ superscopes and I'm wondering the easiest way to add additional addresses to the available pools.... Most of the scopes are like 192.168.0.0/23 192.168.2.0/23 and so forth... if I were to add a 192.168.4.0/23 do I then just need to add a 192.168.4.1 interface on the device handling L3, and it will just work? Not sure what else I would need to do. Sorry, networking is not my strong suit. Normally I would just do like a /22 or larger scope and change any static devices and call it a day but that's not an option w/ this environment.
