I have a very weird, very niche set of requirements, and quite frankly I'm pretty close to completely lacking the verbiage to even describe what I'm looking for here. Basically, I need a device, tool, or some kind of SDR that can generate a wireless access point signal so I can use it to test an enterprise detection system.
Requirements:
- 2.4 and 5 GHz capability.
- Ability to assign MAC address.
- Preferred ability to change transmission power.
- Able to readily turn the signal on or off.
- Portable.
Up until this point, I've been using a Pineapple Tetra but the rickety micro USB port has been jostled for the last time and it gave up on me. The new pineapples are a goddamn mess and don't have 5GHz radios or the ability to assign MAC address. I'm sure there's some kind of Kali based solution here but my big limiting factor is that I am a goddamned infant when it comes to linux anything.
If anyone knows of any commercial tools or ad-hoc solution I could use, I would very much appreciate the help.
