What certificates should I collect in Networking?

I am new to networking, I am doing my basics right now in college.

I searched google about networking and to be a good network engineer I must have certificates so I can apply to companies. I searched "Best Networking certificates" and there were just so many, Like, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA, etc.

I even read that CCIE is the best followed by CCNP and then CCNA. So, Shouldn't I prepare for CCNI directly?

Can you Kindly tell me which certificates should I AIM at (or collect) and in what order to be an excellent network engineer (Maximizing salary)?
