Picked up 'Routing TCP/IP' (2001) for $2 from a thrift shop. Is this still useful for learning the basics of networking or will it be really outdated?

Pretty much what the title says. I don't know much about this field so I don't know how much has changed in the last 20 years, but I bought this book assuming that the foundational information is likely still the same today as it was then.

Hopefully someone here can tell me if it will just be a waste of time reading this. I'm not looking to get certification or even necessarily a job in networking - for now I'm just interested in understanding it a bit more.
