Hello, I've been looking and experimenting with this problem for a week with no solution.
I have a PC running Win 10 and a Server running Win 7 both connected with an Ethernet cable. I managed to do the IP settings and connect them in a way where ping works both ways. But the next step is more than that.
I have network simulation software (Modeler) running on the PC. That software requires a controller software (OpenDaylight) that runs on an Ubuntu Virtual Machine installed on the Server. Modeler only looks for the available 'Network Connections' installed on the PC (e.g. Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connection ) so my only option is to set up a new Network Connection that leads to the IP of the Server or the (Virtual IP?) of the VM running on the Server.
I'm not sure how to make this clear, if you need more info please let me know and I appreciate all your efforts and time.
