Hey there,
Two days ago I've switched my network plan from 40mbps to 200mbps.
If I connect to the router via Ethernet cable I'm getting 203mbps, so I know it's not an ISP issue.
I've connected with my computer via Wi-Fi to the 5g channel with a TP-Link AC1300 T4U V3 Network Adapter with a USB 2.0 extender. Now if I test the network speed at speedtest.net I'm getting 100mbps with 80% signal strength. BUT! If I'm connecting this network adapter to my laptop exactly at the same place, I'm getting a 180mbps using the same network adapter.
My Desktop motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H
Network Adapter tested on both machines: TP-Link AC1300 T4U V3
Both machines tested at the same location and distance from the router, both connected to the 5ghz channel.
On the Desktop: 100mbps
On the Laptop: 180mbps
Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Excellent on both.
Please if someone knows what's happening here, I'm dying for help :(
Thanks in advance.
