I'm trained in Cisco it's possible in Cisco syntax e.g. ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 g0/1
But in HPE MSR2003 if I do ip route-static 0.0.0.0 0 g0/1 It still expects a next hop IP address for the next parameter
This is for an stub network, with G0/1 being assigned by DHCP from the ISP and I do not know the next hop IP address.
According to the hpe techhub, it lists configuring routes with next hop ip only. I'm baffled that somehow it uses a different syntax as well
