Non-technical question, but I’m looking for some other perspectives here.
I’m a network/collab engineer for a medium-sized company. While I get positive feedback on my performance from my boss and peers, the only feedback I ever get from the userbase is starkly negative, to the point where I’m becoming burnt out and extremely cynical.
If any of you have dealt with this, what do you do to keep your mind right? I don’t need constant praise, but when I did desktop support it was nice to at least get validation that the user was satisfied with their problem being fixed. But as a network engineer, I’m becoming mentally exhausted from getting hit with a firehose of negativity all the time.
