Lately I have been trying to understand how nameservers propagate global DNS resolvers like 8.8.8.8 with BIND / DNSSEC / HAPROXY. I haven't been able to find to much information online that doesn't involve just primarily local private dns resolution. So im hoping someone is familiar with setting this up. I've got my bind nameserver setup so that I can dig my records locally and externally and they resolve properly. However I can't seem to find out how global dns resolvers find my bind nameserver to store the initial ns records that would allow me to point my domain towards.
How does this process work? Do global resolvers crawl IP's and cache the record responses? Does bind reach out and tell global resolver networks that this ip is now hosting records? Or should I be using another approach to push my records to global resolvers. My bind server has been up for I dunno 3 hours so not even close to 72 hour propagation times so Im hoping for an answer before I wait 72 hours to just see if this propagates.... Thanks for the help!
