Question: When I tag a VLAN on a switch interface, and connect that switch interface to a (for example) linux system. On that linux system I do not configure an interface for the tagged traffic. The interface is just configured 'untagged'. I did some tests and if I tcpdump on the linux interface I can see the tagged (I assume it is tagged since I configged tagged on the switchport) traffic from the switch. Does the system do anything with this traffic? Is it handled as untagged? Or is it just dropped since there is no tagged interface for it?
