Hello there I'm actively studying for my CCIE R&S lab exam. I have been studying for a while and have made an attempt several months back as a way to experience the test. One of the topics I find myself having the most trouble with is multicast. Here is a list of things I have done:
-Read the CCIE v5 OCG chapters several times and I understand what I read fine.
-Watched the INE ATC multicast videos several times
-Labbed multicast with INE's V5 workbook several times
-Read various Cisco white pages/documentation about it
So I think what my biggest issue with fully grasping multicast is the verification/troubleshooting of it and really nailing down what multicast feature/arguments perform what functions. I don't feel those are really expressed well in any of the training material/documentation I've read/watched. When I say feature/arguments I'm referring to the multicast helper, multicast stub routing, bsr message filtering, ttl scoping for rp packets, etc.
If anyone has any suggestions on training material/books/documentation that helped them really grasp multicast that would be great. Also if you could identify any particular sections/chapters that helped you that would be very helpful!
Thanks!!!
