I'm currently working to deploy a DataCenter Interconnect between two Nexus 9300's in NX-OS mode using VxLAN eVPN as an overlay.
Most of the guides for the eVPN technology focus on it's scalability and applications in spine/leaf topologies. In my use-case, though, I've only got two switches in the fabric, and I'm trying to understand how much that does (or doesn't) simplify things. I know certain elements I can exclude for my small use-case (Multicast groups vis PIM, for example), but I'm trying to understand exactly how much can be removed for this deployment.
Additionally, it looks like our current HSRP domain won't be able to be extended across the eVPN. Is the Distributed Anycast Gateway the best solution to replace that? Or is there an easier option for my default gateways?
TL;DR - Does anyone have input on or know of a guide for small 2-node eVPN deployments?
Thanks in advance!
