I’m looking to create a leaf-spine network within 3 buildings. 2 are connected (think building and extension of building) and the third is across the road with fibre connectivity dug in. The issue I have is there isn’t enough of that to do this ‘traditionally’.
I’ll have about 10 leaf switches in building 3 and 15 total in 1 and 2. Thats 35 fibre pairs.
It’s been suggested to use some WDM - CWDM/DWDM product to mux/demux these connections and reduce the number of pairs needed.
Has anyone had any experience with this on your LAN? Is this a mad thing to do?
Thanks
