Hi,
I have some older Cisco 7960G phones, and want to use PoE on them. I got a tp-link 8port (4PoE) switch, and it uses Type A, while my cisco phones use the old Cisco standard. I know tp-link is shit, but 4PoE managed switch for under $60 with vLAN support was too good and fit under expenses. Its just for my desk too
So my switch does PoE through pairs 1/2 (passive), 3/6 (positive).
My phone has Negative on 4/5, Positive on 7/8.
Before i knew of the types, i tried making a cable with reversed polarity, but the pinout is different.
Does anyone know how I should make the pin layout for this case? Or do i need to get a PoE injector...
