Just wondering how our situation is/if possible.
We have a stack of 6 5520-48T-POE switches. Plus another 2 seperate ones in 2 other sheds linked up.
Last night we had a severe lightning storm. We had no power issues, everything has surge protectors and such to protect all the power sources.
This morning thou we had some strange issues. Some POE phones and cameras were out. And to cut a long story short, after some diagnosing, we worked out that on 1 unit we had around half the ports no longer offering Poe. And of 4 out of the 6 stack lost Poe all together. All had Lan though.
The weirder part is that some Poe devices that were at the time of diagnosing, running perfectly, after unplugging and replugging in, no longer had power.
Is this possible and can someone please explain how I can get power but after unplugging to loose power of that port. Also how can lightning affect this from the cabled end when there are no signs of a direct hit.
