Engineers of reddit that switched vendors, what is your experience?

what did you gain? lost something? ever thought to go back? did it make you a better engineer? was your experience transferrable?

a friend of mine(legit) is looking to switch the jobs between Cisco and Juniper.

how employers in general look at such multi-vendor specialists?

is it better to continue building up knowledge on solely Cisco?
