Want to Hang 2960CX off of FEX, port goes immediately into err-disabled, need proper and best practice on how to stabilize this

As title describes consider the following

(Direct connect connection) -------[2960CX] splits connection to two firewalls on ports 1 and 2. 

On the 2960CX would like to go Port 8 access port -------FEX switch

With an SVI on the port with an IP address, seems simple but the Fexes immediately put it into err disable, I know this is because of bpdu's but I want to get the best practice method on turning this off
