Hi, I've been using a Meraki MX60 for almost 3 years now in a small-ish office (~50 people, ~120 devices, 100Mbps uplink) with 3 Merakis APs spread in one floor (1x MR16, 2x MR18). And also one switch ProCurve HP V1410-24G.
I think we are in need of an upgrade. 100Mbps is not ok for us and we'd like to upgrade to 200Mbps and prepare us for ~80 people. For all I know, the APs are still doing well. I'm not looking into expanding them in the next 6 months.
I really like all the convenience of a Meraki solution. There's no one in the office dedicated to networking issues and everything just works. We'll probably open a junior position to be the infra person to handle this, so easiness is important.
Our setup is minimal. 4 VLANs, Some traffic shaping rules to limit software upgrades, p2p and to boost video/audio, no client VPNs and 1 to 2 site-to-site VPNs (IKE v2 would be nice too, but not deal breaker).
I'm looking into getting a Meraki MX 65 or 67, but it's quite expensive. (I'm also in Brazil, so it costs 2~3x more).
I saw good recommendations on Fortinet. Is it cloud-based as well? Anyone recommends it based on my setup?
Are there other cloud based router/firewalls from Ubiquiti, Aruba, and others?
Best!
