So if I buy a, say, F5 BIGIP 1600 or a Catalyst 3750G, what is the outer casing made out of? It feels very hard, like maybe steel, though the undercarriage seems to be a more bendable aluminum material on some devices. Are these casings typically non-conductive to reduce electrocution hazards? Or are they designed to conduct heat out of the device? Do different vendors use different materials?
