What are some significant differences between Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches you've come across?

I've been working with Cisco equipment for eleven years and the only Cisco switching platform I've ever worked with were Catalysts and Small Business switches. Now that our organization is making the shift to Cisco Nexus switches for core and storage networking, I'm curious to see if anyone else experienced this and can bring up some points to look out for.

I've been doing my homework and began the transition last week, and have seen some differences that threw a curve at me, such as Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) and the Nexus Kickstart feature.
