ROAS help!

Hello good people of r/networking.

I wanted to pick your brains about Router-on-a-stick or ROAS. It’s a simple question of what are the advantages and disadvantages?

As far as I can see the advantages are that it’s a simple setup, with somewhat easier troubleshooting in case of failure and it’s cheaper, because you don’t have to buy multilayer switches. The disadvantages are among other things, that there is a single point of failure and the trunk is a major source of congestion.

What other advantages and disadvantages are there?

Thanks for your time and knowledge.
