Hi, I have a small home network that I'd like to expand. Currently have two static IPs from my provider. My cable modem has to IP ports. I have one plugged into my webserver running Ubuntu 18.04 and using a static IP. The other goes to a Netgear wireless router and everything else in my house either is hardwired into this, or get's a wireless connection to it.
My question is - can I get a somewhat cheap home router, and have my servers all have private IP addys on the 192.168 range, then have the router route the traffic to those when it comes in from the static IP? (does that even make sense?)
I'm learning a bunch of web dev stuff, and I'd like to have all my separate systems (web server, node server and postgresql server) and a 192.168 network, but still be able to route outside traffic to them if needed.
If so, how difficult would this be? I was looking at a Mikrotik router. Any thoughts on this as well?
Thank you for any advice or guidance.
