I'm looking for recommendations for a USB adapter with good range that will be used with a netbook.
I'm setting up a mobile network for an auction company. Requirements are relatively low speed, so I was planning on sticking with 802.11g for distance. Router and external antenna will be mounted at the office trailer that gets taken to the auctions. The netbook is used to clerk the auction, and gets carried around as the auction proceeds.
We're gearing up for a large auction that will be out in a field. The equipment will be spread out over a large distance, so I'm trying to do my best to be prepared.
In the past we've had issues with the signal dropping because I only had the external antenna on the trailer itself. I'm hoping that adding the external adapter on the netbook will help.
