Help designing LTE gateway / solar powered for rural internet

Hi there,

I'm looking for advice on equipment for a rural internet gateway over LTE. There is 2 bars of service at the top of the land that I'm hoping I can improve with some directional antennas. I'm then hoping to link a couple of cabins 150 meters down the valley where there is no service. Either via directional wifi or cat -> an AP.

I'm comfortable with office networking equipment, and I like ubiquiti products but know very little about LTE modems / gateways. My plan is to power the gateway via solar, so power consumption is a consideration.

I'm obviously after as much bandwidth as possible. I'm hoping to be able to work remotely when I'm there (on weekends). The install would be permanent, and I was thinking a tall pole mount.

Has anyone done something similar that they liked?

I saw a couple of nice enclosures, solar POE injectors from Tyco Power systems.
