Cisco EtherSwitch Modules on ISR G2 and 4400 and MPLS

I'm looking at trying to find a CPE device in order to terminate MPLS (PE) at a customer site.

We typically use ISR G2 devices and DMVPN for our back-up circuits, and so I'm curious if anyone knows if the current-ish stuff that would support ISR G2 or ISR 4000 series also will use the Router IOS MPLS to switch labels at wire speed.

My best guess from what I can see in the documentation is that these EtherSwitch modules are essentially a completely separately managed switch (with 3560-ish feature set) inside the router, but wanted to see if anyone out here had any firsthand experience they could share.

Thanks!
