Network engineer here. I have a few certs that I got to get my foot in the door. Not regretful that I went that route, however, as some of you already know, the reality of the job is completely different than what the certs teach and it feels like an annoying cisco (or insert vendor here) money grab with all these different level certs. If I have adequate experience working with certain technologies that an employer needs, will not having higher levels certs hinder me? Is there anyone out there with serious experience and the knowledge to back it that cares about getting certified or more certified?
