Resources to improve networking abilities

Hi Everyone!

I'm a seasoned Information Security Engineer, and I'm being temporarily relocated to a networking role to learn more about how our network works, so that I can better understand the system as a whole and how to better secure and maintain it. I'm excited for the role, but extremely nervous as I've never done much with networking. I have a Network+, but I haven't used the skillset much.

When I met the guy in charge of the networking team, he recommended I go through CCNA training so I can come in prepared. I've been doing the Cybrary.it CCNA training and it's been great, I feel far more comfortable but I know there is far more to learn. I have been setting up networks in GNS3 to try and better learn the various Cisco commands, but I know we have a mix of Cisco and Juniper. How different in Juniper commands?

Second, what other resources would you recommend so I can better prepare myself for the world of networking? I'm diving in headfirst tomorrow, but I can spend spare time at home increasing my knowledge so that every day is better than the last.

Thanks!
