I have a client with 3 ISPs. Their connections are stable however there are times when we will need to do maintenance which requires a circuit to go offline. When this happens they obviously can't connect to the VPN on that IP address so the users manually switch to the 2nd or 3rd hostname and can connect. They would like to be able to use only VPN.clientdomain.com no matter what the working IP is. We initially had DNS round robin but obviously this can't tell if an IP is up or down, and requires manual interaction to change DNS; then there is propagation time so this isn't a working solution.
Any suggestions?
