Is there value to specifying an IPv6 p2p address in OSPFv3?

I'm contemplating my IPv6 deployment and if I even need to bother hard specifying an address for my P2P links running OSPFv3? Adjacencies are built across the FE80:: link local address, so am I just making my life harder here? What say you?
