HPE/Aurba IRF Stacking - 2 members, how many cables?

I've got 4 HPE A5800 (comware) switches in stacks. 2 stacks, 2 units each. Is there any advantage, or should I say "real advantage" to having more than 1 IRF cable linking them? Is the bandwidth passing between them a consideration?
