Hello folks,
Currently we have a setup where we have 2 datacenters (pic attached). Both Datacenters have resources setup in a way that if 1 were to go down, the other could take over and offer resources to the branches... but not without manual intervention.
Datacenter 1 has the default information originate command in BGP to send default route to branches so they can communicate with resources inside/outside datacenter1, since dc1 is the branches way to the internet. Let's say for the sake of example, datacenter 2 is setup in a way that can take over and offer all the same resources and internet access like DC1 in case of failure like if the WAN router at DC1 fails. I know that I would have to input the bgp default info originate command into datacenter 2 manually after a case of failure to make this work. Now my question is, how can I make this automatic? the 2 wan routers have a way to talk to eachother through a back-end circuit we have that connects to the 2 dc's togther...I just didn't put it into the diagram, but it's there. Can I use maybe SLA for some task like this? or maybe another way? Please let me know if my task is not clear enough..
Thank you in advance
