Hello guys,
I'm investigating a network problem on a machine at work with a FlukeIQ tester. The FlukeIQ consists of two parts, the device itself and a wiremap adapter. If you connect the device to one end, and the wiremap adapter to the other end, you can test your cable for 1000BASE-T. Now I have the following results:
Fluke --------------- Wiremap adapter = 1000BASE-T
Wiremap adapter ------------- Fluke = 100BASE-TX
So essentially, the result is different if I change the direction I am measuring the cable speed. I cannot find anything of this behavior online, anyone can point me in the right direction what is going on?
Cheers.
