Preface: New to networking. I have two devices that want to communicate with each other and at each moment, the other may send a message. Since I'm operating on half-duplex, I want to avoid collisions by making rules saying device A can only send from 0 - 499ms and device 2 can only send from 500 - 999ms.
Have systems like this been done before where time is used to avoid collisions? Also, any other protocols I could look into to solve my problem?
