I've noticed so many people haven't migrated fully to IPv6 because of reasons like laziness, misunderstanding of IPv6, or they find IPv6 itself a hassle. IPv6 isn't difficult once you learn how it works, however I've seen a lot of people say they don't like it because of how different it is from IPv4. They don't really like hex and find it a burden typing it. My question is, to the people like that, if a new protocol came out that was simpler than IPv6 and more like IPv4, would you prefer that one? 128 bits isn't entirely necessary, would you like it more if they either added more octets or increased the amount of digits in each octet?
