Dont know if this is the right sub reddit, but does anyone know if the old SBC fiber lines are still in use? The only internet providers in my area is AT&T DSL (3.0 mbps up, usally get .5) and it sucks a crapload, the only alternatives are fixed wireless or sattelite which i despise. I know theres a sign down the street saying theres SBC fiber lines, and i know SBC became att, but are the fiber lines still in use, or is there a way to use them? Or does anyone know of a way I can get decent internet?
