We deploy flat networks at customer sites (192.168.0.0/16) and sometimes we need to 'link' our switches to their network to allow certain host to communicate.
I need to compile a list of basic questions to get the 'conversation' started and have a basic understanding how they will be implementing this. This is what a have so far:
-
Will you be extending/bridging a VLAN into our switch? If so, will we need to re-ip our devices to adhere to your scheme?
-
Or will you be able to 'route' into our existing 192.168.0.0/24 subnet?
-
Will we be patching into a VLAN dedicated for our devices only which is then routed into another of your VLANs?
Any advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
