When 5G or even 6G becomes an everyday 'thing' ... Does that mean the end of routers and switches?

With low latency and high speed, would every device just connect directly to the 'cloud' (service provider's hosted servers) instead of having absolutely anything on site?

What will happen to people who have built careers out of managing and maintaining LANs?
