Hello lads, im a bgp noob and skipping right to the question. It's about how iBGP differs from eBGP and cisco says the following here:
- " The advertising router modifies the BGP next-hop to the IP address sourcing the BGP connection."
Is anyone able to explain what they mean by 'the IP address sourcing the BGP Connection'? Isn't it always from the neighbouring BGP peer. And if so, why isn't that the BGP next-hop, then? I can't figure it out by googling it. Thanks in advance.
