Hey all
I have a small childcare business and wanted to get people's opinions on firewall solutions at my center.
For context, it is a "small" childcare center, in the sense that it:
- At most will have maybe 20 devices connected to the wifi network
- No sensitive information is being digitally stored on premise
- All data will be hosted in the cloud through a 3rd party child care management system
At the moment the center has a consumer grade modem/router device (Netgear AC1750 smart router). I've engaged a solutions vendor that has suggested deploying a SMB hardware firewall solution, like the Sophos XGS 87.
I was wanting to get people's view on whether a dedicated hardware firewall solution - like the Sophos - would be overkill in my situation? Would the firewall solution on the Netgear AC1750 suffice or am I silly for trying to cut down corners/costs here?
Bit of a tech newbie so appreciate any advice for my fledging business!
thanks, H
