So I work for a pos company doing installs and support but it’s just a 3 man operation so anything involving a computer or internet becomes my issue.
One of our biggest customers just bought an old gordmans. Neat. I go out to wire the pos systems… and learn all their cat6 is ran from the registers into conduit under the floor. Then they poured concrete over it. Like… really?!!?!
Couple that with there being 6 modems, 3 routers and 4 switches, none of them still have cables connected and I have zero documentation how it all patchworked together. I can’t even get internet from the back office to the switch up front because after I tested 30 cables I can’t seem to find the one that runs through the finished ceiling up front. Please wish me sanity my friends.
