We have a REP configured on a ring of IE4010 switches. For all the access switches off of each IE, they have STP enabled. These access switches think they are roots as the STP BPDUs aren't traversing the REP interfaces.
The vendor who designed it didn't take into account the switches off of the ring. At this point, would it be better to just take off spanning tree on all access switches? If the BPDUs are just being dropped as they hit the ring, it wouldn't hurt?
