For those of you that are freelance/independent contractors, how do you advertise your services and get clients?

Apologies if this breaks the early career advice rule but I don't believe it does.

I have been in IT for a few years and have been a network engineer for a bit now but have strong knowledge in other IT subjects as well. I have found I really like setting up new environments and have been offering everything from cable running for homes to setting up domains for small businesses with all the bells and whistles as a side gig. But I have pretty much exhausted all the friends of friends and family clients and im not really sure how to advertise my services to get more gigs. I was wondering if any of you have any techniques you could share or if there is a different subreddit I should be posting this in, please let me know.
