Understanding IP addresses

From my understanding of my IP addresses, when Comcast provided me IP addresses I get a range of 256 (192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.256).

All of my devices that have IP addresses, I have set statically so that I can manage them in my Ubiquiti controller.

I am commissioning a new server that was given to me by a client who received new equipment.

I ran an arp -a command in Command Prompt to see what was available (so I could set a static IP address for the server) and noticed that there were a number of other addresses such as starting with:

  • 10
  • 224
  • 233
  • 239
  • 169
  • 255

What are these addresses? I was under the impression that when I received the IP lease the only addresses I would have were those 192.168.1.1 through .256.

Any help or understanding about them would be great.
